Koringberg Siding Cottage

A true gem that can't be put into words.

Wat 'n fantastiese oasis met soveel karakter wat deur oom en tannie geskep is. Hulle is die mees gasvrye mense wat uit hul pad uit gaan om jou tuis te laat voel. Dit is 'n wonderlike wegbreek wat jou rustig en gelukkig sal laat terugkeer huistoe.

Regte plattelandse gasvryheid.

Billy en Riana het ons so tuis laat voel. Ons het as gaste gearriveer, en is weg as vriende! Regtig 'n baie oulike plek. Baie om te doen in die omgewing. Ons is bederf met heerlike etes. En 'n wonderlike tyd in Billy se kunsstudio. Ons gaan beslis weer vir hulle kuier. Dit was 'n wonderlike wegbreek uit die stad. Gebruik van fietse om die omgewing te verken was ook 'n plus.

Amazing experience with excellent hosts.

The cottage is very comfortable and fully equipped with every conceiveable appliance and crockery and cutlery. The bed was superb and I had some real good sleep after days of stress. The hosts are friendly and charming and we got on well during the stay, and they are exceedingly generous with allowing fruit and veg to be picked from the garden. It is a perfect venue to just chill out and enjoy the quiet of a small village, and the wifi was strong enough to allow uninterrupted streaming of videos if needed.

Gasvrye eienaars en interessante, skoon akkommodasie.

Ons is vriendelik ontvang en het gou tuis gevoel. Billy en Riana gaan uit hulle pad om alles gemaklik vir hulle gaste te maak. Ons het 'n gesellige aand met heerlike tuiskos saam met hulle in Billie se kreatiewe ruimte (sy ateljee) geniet. Ons is die volgende oggend weg met 'n bossie veldblomme en nartjies vir die pad varsgepluk.

A peek into Wonderland.

The cottage is a perfect destination for a weekend (or longer) away. Your laptop, with solid Wi-Fi, easily makes you a "digital nomad". Take advantage of the quiet for reading or (creative) writing. Or claim a spot for your easel and brushes in Billy's studio. The main road quickly runs out of tar and continues on gravel into walking and cycling-friendly gently rolling hills. There are even bicycles to borrow. The decor and furnishings are quirky, eclectic and fun. Bring your (inner) hippy and sandals. They'll be right at home too. Remember to bring lunch/dinner, if you need to. There's only a spaza and liquor shop for solid and liquid snacks, otherwise pre-arrange with Riana and Billy. I got lucky and saw a train, right up close, go past just behind the cottage. Train spotting bonus unlocked!

A hidden treasure!

Billy, Riana and Tippie welcomed us into their beautiful tranquil space in Koringberg. The cottage is quaint and beautifully decorated. They provided us with all the information we needed to have a relaxing and peaceful stay. We are excited to see how this venue will develop in time to come and will most definitely be returning!
