Quiet, tranquil and lovely place.

Really enjoyed the peace. Woken up by cocks crowing and waddling of ducks. A place eager to get back to. Thanks to Michelle the owner who really went out her way to make sure we are happy.

Very accomodating, and helpful, we loved our stay.

We were helped immediately whenever we had problems or questions, our arrival and departure times were not convenient, but host was always accommodating.

Tensy hulle op standaard kom aangaande netheid, sal ek nie Arbeidsadel aanbeveel nie.

Hulle het ons laat weet dat die plek gereed is vir ons besoek, maar ongelukkig alles behalwe! Die plek was glad nie skoon nie, baie stof op eetgerei op rak, borde nie ordentlik gewas nie, glasbak was taai met hare in, dooie geitjie in stort gekry, geen gas vir warm water nie. Mens kry die idee dat die plek lank toegestaan het. As daar aandag gegee word aan klagtes, kan Arbeidsadel 'n baie oulike plek wees. Mooi omgewing met dammetjie met eendjies, hoenders en lekker plaas atmosfeer. Het selfs lekker geswem. Wou dit graag vir familie aanbeveel, maar kan dit nie met 'n geruste hart aanbeveel nie. Prys is ook goed.

Peaceful and secure.

Just what my family needed. A tranquil and peaceful outdoor experience in a small town.

Mooie selfsorg.

Prachtige zelfzorg. Netjes verzorgd. Alles wat je nodig hebt. Rustige plaats. Een aanrader!

Uitstekende waarde vir geld.

Dankie aan Michelle en haar man wat baie vriendelik, effektief en hulpvaardig was. Die ligging is weg van die hoofpad, waar verkeer nie gehoor kan word nie. Die netheid en ruim komplimentêre produkte wat gegee is, is pryswaardig. Die huis en Kirkwood was veilig gewees.

Kirkwood stay.

We stopped over in Kirkwood on our visit to Addo just for one night. Michelle checked up on us and made herself available. We really appreciated that. We loved the cottage and the braai deck. The space was more than big enough with everything we needed. There is also an inside braai and DStv which was great. The couches were super comfortable. The whole vibe reminded me of holidays in a caravan park - that community feeling. We would definitely recommend it. Just a couple of small things to check on would be the plug fixture by the microwave was loose and a kitchen cupboard had a broken door handle. The driveway from our cottage out was very steep and uneven for our car. Luckily we could use the main entrance. The biggest issue we had (and I believe Michelle will sort it out so please don't let it put you off) was that there were contractors staying long term in the cottage we booked (or so it seemed). I believe they had to vacate for just that one evening. Unfortunately half their belongings were still in the cottage and they kept coming to search for more items. It made it feel unclean since you would expect all the previous occupants' belongings to be removed when the cottage was cleaned before our arrival. We were unsure what we could use and what was theirs - there was an open milk in the fridge (no chocolate though we were accused of taking that) and drinks, spices, sauces, etc in the cupboards. The master bedroom also had a strong cigarette smell even though the cottage was non-smoking. It was the only negative thing, but a rather big one.

Baie gerieflik en alles wat jy nodig het.

Dit was baie lekker verblyf. Baie rustige omgewing. Het dit baie geniet.

Baie gerieflik en aangenaam.

Ons is baie vriendelik ontvang deur gasvrou en in huisie was baie lekker verrassings/geskenkies soos beskuit en vrugte. Baie lekker gebly in huisie waar als gerieflik, netjies en skoon was. Heerlike omgewing, lekker op lemoenplaas met tarentaal, hoenders en eende! As die geleentheid opduik sal ons baie graag weer daar gaan oorbly en kan dit baie sterk aanbeveel.

Arbeidsadel was great!

The accommodation was very neat and we had everything we could wish for. Kids had a great time on beautiful large lawn - made friends with the dogs, chickens and a duck. Michelle is an awesome hostess and we had access to DSTV and Wi-Fi.

Nice tranquil environment.

Because I was late with booking, there were no affordable places close to Addo. This was a good alternative. Even though it is a 30 minutes drive to Addo, the house itself is comfortable. We were with 6 adults, and I would not advise to book for 6 adults. 4 Adults and 2 kids would be fine. One of the beds is in the living room, it is a couch that transforms into a bed. It is not comfortable to sleep there with 2 adults unless you are very much in love.

It was a surprise to find this beautiful place in Kirkwood. The owners did their best to make it a pleasant stay.

Would recommend it to others.
