De Hoop Cottages id a charming property offering self-catering accommodation located near Robertson, Western Cape. It is nestled on a peaceful farm, Laaiplaas where limited cell phone reception will ensure a tranquil sojourn, cut off from the noise and bustle. The farm, situated right at the end of the De Hoop-kloof at the very foot of the Langeberg, offers stunning views of nature and the majestic mountain. Be prepared to drive 2 km of gravel road to add to the "farm feeling".
Guests have the option to a variety of cottages on the property which are all self-catering and have different sleeping capacities. Each unit is furnished with comfortable beds and has neat bathrooms. Linen and towels are provided.
Further on, each unit comes with a kitchenette equipped with a gas top cooker, microwave, basic cutlery, crockery, and tea- and coffee-making facilities. There is also indoor and outdoor braais.
Apart from breathtaking mountain views, guests can enjoy nature, do some bird watching, go for a hike on the farm or in the kloof to reach clear mountain pools, and have a swim in the dams. Or you can just sit on the deck and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The farm is only 10 km from town and 15 15-minute drive from all necessary shops if need be, as well as all the wine cellars that the valley is renowned for.
